Meanwhile, I'm kind of bored and would like to do something really, really
exciting. Maybe I won't be able to stand the excitement, but - oh, if I
could only find a Web site with brass-looking scrollbars! That would be so
fascinating, I think I'd stay on that site all day long, maybe for days at a
time, just transfixed with the sheer amazing beauty of the scrollbars.

Sure, go ahead and do whatever you want with your web site, honey. :-)

Thanks Nancy. At least it?s a start. I?ll keep looking. Changing the
color
may be sufficient (even if it?s only in IE), and I know that I?ve seen
scrollbars done as graphics in a few places, so it must be possible.

Bonnie your description of Steampunk is exactly correct, and I agree, I
hope
that the sequels to Golden Compass are eventually made.

Patty Cake, how many people fall asleep from sheer boredom when they
visit
your web site? I did! It?s got all of the appeal of a slab of concrete.
Is
it true that web sites reflect their owners?

Wall-e Baby, who appointed you spokesperson for everyone who uses the
Internet? Oh right, you appointed yourself. Might I suggest that you
should
stick to collecting trash and making it into nice little cubes.

Well, at least it?s good to know that Plain Patty and Wall-e Baby are out
there, in their own offensive way, keeping the Internet safe for BORING
people!
Keep up the good work!

Here is an example (even more annoyingly, it had chirping bird sounds),
though it may be that they are using Flash (didn't look at the code).

As I said, I don't recommend it because I personally hate it, but I am
probably not your demographic.

You want to read about usability, accessibility and the principles of
design first.

Thanks to incompetent and often overpaid designers like you we have all
the user-unfriendly crap out there. And shame on you for abusing Pixar
for your stupid insults.

Indeed. At least they _know_ what they're talking about, while you still
have a long way to go.

Micha you also gave useful advice. As the other newsgroup users pointed out
that only IE will support what she desires for her website. Yet, I've found the
trend of companies, libraries and schools are using Firefox. What is hard to
understand is someone asking for help from an application forum, and when
they're not getting the answer they desire or no one is siding with them...
then they become defensive. Diogenes Daughter can have her opinion about what's
boring to her (not wise when asking for help from the experts), though going as
far as her insults shows that she must tear someone down to build herself up as
she cannot do it on her merit.

Nothing that Nancy, Walt or Patty has said deserves belittling.

There are far more people who appreciate the help from these forums!
