Welcome to frames hell. Unfortunately you have put yourself here (by
accepting the twisted reasoning that people want the navigation to be always
visible on the page). There is no way out, really. If one frame throws
scrollbars, and you try to prevent it, you may well be preventing visitors
from scrolling that page at all.
The only solution is to remove the frames and make conventional pages that
link one to the next.

Hi. I've got 2 frames; top for navigation and bottom for content. Both
contain a centered table and the graphics align perfectly when testing.
The
bottom frame needs to scroll and the top frame needs to stay put so people
can
still navigate when they are half way down the main page. Trouble is, as
soon
as i make the bottom frame scrollable, it shifts the lower table to the
left
(the width of the scrollbar) and the alignment is thrown out. Does anyone
know
how to stop this happening?? thanks, Dren. |
