Save Password and User name

I have three web pages I am maintaining and everytime I try to update files I
have to edit the site and manually enter my user name and password. Even
though the box is checked it won't save them. What am I doing wrong?

Which version of DW? Windows or Mac?

If DW8 on Windows then download and install the 8.0.2 updater
