Default Sample XML file format - 11-28-2007 , 07:13 PM

I have a client that uses Alpha Software's database and I would like to use an
Alpha generated XML file in Dreamweaver. Can anyone point me to a sample XML
file that works with Spry? I would like to look at the data layout/format to
see what is different from what Alpha generates.

Thanks in advance.

Spry reads what you feed it. If Alpha is producing an XML file, Spry should
be able to use it as a data source. Have you tried?

Yes, I have tried. Spry accepts the file but I can't see the individual data
fields. First, I haven't a clue what an XML file should look like. Which is
why I am asking for an example.

Alpha's XML file starts with several records which describe the fields in the
file- field name, length, data type. The actual records follow. And Spry
appears to work like I would expect, except it lumps all the data fields into
on string instead of individual fields.

Does any of that make any sense?
