is it safe making ur website into a template if ur usinga container?

plz explain to me as if im a 10 year old, because im very stupid with
dreamweaver.
but i want to make my website into a template based, but i happen to be using
a container so that i can certain my objects in the middle easily and i have
several Ap Divs (the container's children) inside the container. is it safe to
make a template? im worried that the editable regions will do something to the
container's children.

This post makes absolutely no sense.

Of course. Make sure you have read DW's F1 Help about how to use templates
thoroughly several times though.
