Default Safari and Tables - 10-01-2004 , 10:29 PM

Hello!

Unfortunately since Safari is now the default browser for OS X, I'm a little
worried and hope someone has an answer or remedy to my problem...

I've created rollover images in a table within a table. When I save the
document locally on my Mac and hit F12 everything looks great in Safari! But as
soon as I upload the file to my server, the rollover images quit working and
the links take forever to load. Sometimes the links just error out. I've even
created a folder on my local computer to mimic what I have on the server and
still the same thing. Here's the weird thing though... when I save the document
back to my local machine from the server and hit F12, it works again?!?! Figure
that one out! Anyone know whats going on??? Here's the link to the page i am
having trouble with... http://www.marcostar.com/CDone-qt.htm

Oh, and I forgot to mention that every other browser, Mac or PC, it works
great!

Thanks!
mm

You must've got it fixed, because the rollovers work just fine in Safari for
me.

Even though Safari is your default browser you can add other browser to your
list for testing.
Click on the globe icon (next to the put/get arrows) to edit the list of
browsers. You can also do this through the Preferences > Preview in Browser
option.

The problem is not MY default browser. The problem is anyone who is on OS X and
doesn't know how to change their default browser in the OS, WHICH IS HALF THE
MAC POPULATION, will open my site in Safari and see this glich! I need to
figure this out, QUICK! Can anyone see from the souce what the problem may be?
If you look at all the other links on my site, the rollovers work. And work
great! I may say so thanks to Dreamweaver!

Check it out...

Looking at your site in Safari the links work . What I am getting though is a
bit of page movement when you mouseover the music and bio links on the home
page. The only thing I can see in the source is the other two links have a
height of 98px specified...

I had no problem with missing images. I'm on a 1mb connection so maybe it is
more apparent on dial-up connections.
