Rounded corners w/CSS, unordered list and javascript...

I am trying to build a rounded corner box to contain some type info. The box
must be able to grow vertically when I add more type. The graphics used must be
..png's with transparency (for the corners). I have seen so many rounded box css
generators on the net but they all want you to pick a background color. I'll be
placing this over a faded background so it's important that the graphics for
this box are transparent in the white areas. I am told I will need javascript
to make this work properly, but I cannot find the html/css/java coding to make
this work. I have tried several things, and nothing has worked yet.......need
help!

Can someone at least clue me in to a website that explains how to achieve this?
I have been surfing the net for 2 days and can only find a way to do this "with
a background color". I need a transparent background...

I have used Nifty Corners Cube
(http://www.html.it/articoli/niftycube/index.html) before, it works
really well. You don't need any images, the JS does it for you. You can
set the background to be transparent too.
