round trip not working

hey - have DW MX, W2K, suddenly cannot edit images from DW to Fireworks,
Preferences settings correct - was working the other day, now not...,
re-started, re-booted, etc. - images open in IE, not FW.

sound like you installed somthing that changed the preferences on windows,
you can correct this by pointing to and image in windows explorer. right
click and select change on the general tab. you should them be able to
change the accosiation file back to fireworks.

Thanks, Alan - I think you are heading me in the right direction. At first,
the appropriate files types were not opened with FW (in Explorer) - so, did
this, thought it surely would fix, but..no! About a week ago, my computer
crashed and I did an "over the top" install of W2K, saving the data files,
but DW & FW, even though work fine, other than round trip (now - was
working...?) - anyway, these apps do not show on Add/Remove programs, like
they are not there - probalby has something to do with this - SO --- thanks,
will keep working on it!
