i will look at those two ideas. i know YOU know tables, murray! i'm always terrified i'm going to horribly mess them up! i think i can, i think i can.... "Murray *TMM*" <forums (AT) HAHAgreat-web-sights (DOT) com> wrote in message news:cd79ht$ph0$1 (AT) forums (DOT) macromedia.com... I would slice that image roughly this way - http://www.great-web-sights.com/mast_sample2.gif I would reassemble the slices in a table at the top of the page. Your table can be 3 rows by 3 columns, with the top and bottom row merged (see, if you know how to do it, it's OK!). Now create 5 more separate instances of slice 3, one for each remaining daisy in the darkened state. Apply hotspots to the image for each daisy, and have each hotspot swap the image to the proper daisy down-state. If you really wanted to get cool you could figure out how to use smaller images for the graphics of the masthead and fill in the white color with cell backgrounds, but I'll leave that up to you! -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Team Macromedia Volunteer for Dreamweaver MX (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== news://forums.macromedia.com/macromedia.dreamweaver - THE BEST WAY TO GET ANSWERS ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "Libbi Bosworth" <libbi (AT) fonicdesign (DOT) com> wrote in message news:cd75sl$lpm$1 (AT) forums (DOT) macromedia.com... http://www.fonicdesign.com/sarah/mast_sample.gif I am trying to figure out the best way to make this rollover happen. the flowers on the left should each darken when rolled over. Since this creeps into the masthead, I assume the best way to do this would be to swap the masthead. The masthead is 14KB. Does that seem too download heavy? I am not a good gauge of that. I am also considering doing the masthead in Flash, the rest in HTML. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Libbi |
