Default Resolution selection for a site - 11-18-2004 , 08:16 AM

I am trying to find out what is considered the best display setting size to
develop a web site, ie.e 800x600 or 1024x768 or whatever.

I guess what I'm really asking is what is considered the "norm" for a general
type of site.

Hi Fireman

It depends on what type of site but I never go above 780 px. I'm creating
something at 734px wide at the moment but it looks okay at 800x600 and
1024x768 but I have no idea why, maybe I should drink more beer

The best size is the size of the end-user's browser's viewport.

There is no 'norm'
