I am trying to configure MySQL connection to a remote BlueOnyx server for the first time. Any simple instructions somewhere to accomplish this?

Although error 400 suggests malformed syntax, if this is on a shared
host, there is a very good chance that they've prohibited remote access
to the database for security reasons.

Otherwise, check the syntax used in your connections.
