Default Remote info - 08-04-2004 , 05:19 AM

I am having real troubling finding the right path to my remote folder.
site is not hosted at our company

http://www.wagenworks.com

how do you find out the right path,.
All the information that I can find describes web servers.
As I am only a begginer when it comes to this I have no clue as to the right
path.
Any clues would be appreciated.

Your FTP should look similar to this:
Host: wagenworks.com (be sure not to put "wagenworks.com/") - Has a /, this
can give errors.
Host Directory: /www/ or /public_html/, you will probably need to ask your
provider as it varies everywhere. Good chance it's /www/ or /public_html/
Login: wagenwerks
Password: my_password_to_FTP_or_telnet___given_to_me_by_my_h osting_provider

If you want to find the "path" you need to have access to the computer hosting
your website. Can you login to a control panel?

Just use no path in the Host directory. Connect to the site. See what
files/folders are there. If you see your website files there, then you need
no further adjustment. If you only see folders, like www/logs/cgi-bin/etc.,
then find the one that contains your website files. That's the one you need
to have in your Host directory field.
