reamweavers access to an NT 4 server?

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a DSN connection from Dreamweaver to an NT 4 server. The
DSN is on the server already and works fine.
When I run the connection dialog from Dreamweaver and select the Use DSN on
testing server, I get a dialog box that comes up saying 401 Unauthorized.

The site does not have Anominous access due to it being restricted to company
employees only. Is this the cause?

Any advise most welcomed.
