I just upgraded last week (also Win 2K) and I have had no such issues. I can switch from Sites to Assets .. Files to Sites, etc. without issue. Is that the only thing you've done? Have you done a virus check lately? -- Nancy Gill Team Macromedia Volunteer for Dreamweaver MX/UltraDev http://www.macromedia.com/go/team/ BLOG: http://www.dmxwishes.com/blog.html Co-Author: Dreamweaver MX Instant Troubleshooter (coming soon !) If this is the wrong forum, please excuse me. I recently updated to service pack 4 (Win2K) from service pack 3. I assume that MS did something screwy (what a surprise!) with Java or some other element of the O/S, because now I'm having trouble with Dreamweaver. Specifically, when I attempt to do just about anything under the 'Files' panel group, I receive a 'fatal exception' and the program hangs. It happens if I try to delete a file, or if I simply switch from the Sites tab to the Assets tab (within the group). Any insights tips or suggestions are greatly and deeply appreciated. zchuss: Update to 6.1 - can you do that? Rebuild your site cache (SITE | Recreate Cache...). Does that help? I am certain that this has nothing to do with the SP4. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Team Macromedia Volunteer for Dreamweaver MX (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== news://forums.macromedia.com/macromedia.dreamweaver - THE BEST WAY TO GET ANSWERS ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.DreamweaverFAQ.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "Nancy Gill" <nancy (AT) webwish (DOT) com> wrote in message news:bed3s6$blk$1 (AT) forums (DOT) macromedia.com...
