I built this site for a customer www.hesselcustom.com It is running from my
own server which is Win2k with Apache. I built all the pages to be under
50k but I still can't understand why when I check it with my 56k dial up
connection it takes more than a minute to load the whole page. Its only
running at 44k when I view it most of the time but needless to say it
shouldn't take that long to load. I can't figure out if it is my computer
or something else. Could you guys who have 56k dial up's check it out for
me and tell me if it takes along time to load on your computer. I really
need some help here so any is appreciated. |
I'm not on dial-up, but on DSL, 2.7Mbits/sec down. It took me about 1.5
seconds (or maybe less) to load the first page, which is better than
most. Compare that to the gurus at Macromedia, who's collective
expertise can't make a page load faster than 15 seconds.
I think you can relax....
