Re: Why do I get a placeholder when trying to use Flash buttons?

I went through the new site wizard when I set up my site, so I'll have to go back & read if I missed something. I thought when I hit "Apply" I'm supposed to be able to see the Flash button in design view. All I get is the grey box with the Flash symbol. When I hit play it disappears completely. The button is being saved on my hard drive even though I'm specifying it to save in my site folder. When I hit preview in browser there is no button to be found. I never ran across this in Dreamweaver 4. I'm very confused, lame, or both.

Macintosh??

to rule in or out a mac specific thing- could you do these steps?

Open a new file in Dreamweaver with File-->New
-->Don't Save It<---

Insert an image from that Site's Local Site Folder.
