Further to that, anyone know of FREE or cheap ways to have live streaming
video, like a webcam on one of my pages? I've figured out ways to do auto
updates of single pictures, but i would like live if possibel!

Hi, I have a client who wants to have a video walk through on his site.

to know in order to do this? Cost, technology, third party tools, etc?

Thanks

Are you serving the site yourself or is it at an outside host? If you're
serving it yourself, what kind of machine are you serving it from? If
you're serving it from an outside host, you're at the mercy of what they
have available. I'm guessing that many won't stream video due to bandwidth
restraints.

That said, however, in my experience, mpeg video tends to stream by its
nature. If you create an mpeg video of some sort and provide a link to it,
I suspect it would stream on its own.

If you want to stream live video, though, you will need streaming server
software of some kind on the server hosting your video feed.

Best regards,
Chris
