For a business you need to you need to register the name. Copyright isn't going to cut it.
And the chamber of commerce the same........bottom line with them...their going to tell you to go to a trade mark/copyright lawyer. That is best way. You have to follow you local laws as well a federal law. Getting a package for someone and sticking it on you site may not protect in you a court of law.
putting a copyright on a name isn't going to protect it. How many Tom's are there in the world. But if i have a pizza place called tom pizza. And I register the name. no one else can use that name. But they can use the name tom for "tom's paint and body",,,,,,,best thing is to see a lawyer... |
