Until Gary mentionned about the extra scroll bars, I didn't even realise there were any. Example on the 'Prodcuten' the scroll bar in red overlays the red stereo and can harldy be seen. I guess I didn't notuce because the text was in dutch so I didn't try to read til the end, but it is not immediately clear.
On Mozilla is seems clearer because the scroll bars don't hide in the red colour.

I think overall, there is just too much red and black without enough grey or white to brighten the page and not enough consistency across the pages to know which menus to look under and no easy search option. again, i guess that is because the menus are not in my local language.

On the 'producten' page the frame with the 2 loewe gifs will resize if the page is less wide, but the frame with the text doesn't. why not.

Is Bartels a high street store or a aimed at professional musicians? For the average consumer the site isn't an appealing browse.

Hope it's not too negative. On a final note, I do like the menu appearance on the left, which doesn't move or scroll off the screen as you move around the page.

Noted all of these points.

They are not Frames. They are Layers. One is set at an absolute measure.
The other is set at a relative. That is, if my understanding of
absolute and relative is correct. Absolute is Pixels, relative is
procentage. Right?

A HiFi store.
Could you please elaborate on that. What isn't appealing to you? Do you
mean with regards to your earlier comments?

Not at all. I need feedback. If things are bad then they need to be
fixed/improved. I don't mind negative comments. What I don't like is
people that say "Hey nice site man" then say it sucks behind my back
just to make me feel good. That is not what a true designer would want.
He/she wants to deliver - deliver quality.

This will have to go when the Frameset is dumped. I could implement some
DHTML menu that keep on top but I find those iritating and distracting.
I wish I knew Javascript, I'd made them myself.

Thanks for commenting!
