Andre:

Don't store the images. Store the image names and just upload the images.
Link to them using the image name.

There are extensions availlable that allow one to upload images, depending
on the server model desired. I assume if you are using an Access database
that you are also using ASP? Check the ASPUpload or PureASPUpload
extensions (the latter is from http://www.dmxzone.com, and I don't remember
where the former is from).

Guys - and gals,

A client of mine - a video store - asked me if it would be possible to
store images/pictures from movies
(usually provided in JPEG format) in a MS-Access database table so he can
update those without
having to mess with the page code. Well, I know it sounds to be a question
more fitted for Microsoft's
site, but since Macromedia user's and community are savvier and way more
helping than MS people I
decided to ask it first here. I developed the page entirely with
Dreamweaver and Fireworks. It has
database binding and plenty of content but I have never tried to store
images in a MS-Access
database before so I don't know if it is at all possible.

Has any of you fellows done it? If possible, how do I do it?

Thanks a lot everybody!
- Andre

Murray,

Yes, I am using ASP JavaScript for server service. So, if I understood it correctly, all I have to do
is store the path to the images. Great!

Thanks a lot,
- Andre

Andre:

Don't store the path. Store the image name. Use the path in the LINK to
the image on the page. That way if you move things around in the site, you
won't have to change EVERY ENTRY in the database.
