I just bought Dreamweaver and have begun to explore it. Yet, I still can't
decide how to start with my new project. I know html and some javascript.
Up to
now I've done my coding in Notepad. What do y'all recommend? Should I
begin
coding in Notepad and then bring the pages in to Dreamweaver? Should I use
Homesite before bringing it all into Dreamweaver?

Why not just use DW start to finish?

Yes, that is basically my question: Should I use DW from start to finish or
not.? I am a designer, but I also know how to write clean code. My concern is
does DW keep the code quite clean as you work in design view?

I would say the code generated from using DW's designer is clean. Some
extensions are better than others in this regard.

I wouldn't subscribe that. The DW-generated code is only as good as the
developer, too often (maybe in most cases) you see bloated code or
improper markup (<blockquote> for indentation, <p><strong> for headings,
the same CSS-declarations again and again etc.).

On the other hand even with MS FrontPage it's possible to create valid
and accessible websites, if the developer knows what he's doing.

The point is: To build good websites you _must_ know about HTML/CSS,
whatever tool you use.
