Do I put the button on the index.dwt or put it on my regular site? I'll update
the template

In the template, is this an EDITABLE area? Or is it a locked area, not in an
editable region?

If it's an editable area, you will have to put the button and link on each
page individually.

If it's not an editable area (it's locked) then put it in the .dwt template,
and it will show up in the pages based on that template.
