Hi everybody,

In one file, I have a list of hyperlinks referring to named anchors in
another
file.
The files are both residing in the same folder.
So this should be good in order to link from the hyperlinks towards the
anchors: FeaturesAndBenefits.htm#lnkToFeaturesBenefits1

However, when I try 'Open linked page', it sais '<fullpath> can not be
found'.
What am I doing wrong?
I even tried 'point to file' and selecting the anchor. That doesn't work
either...

Can someone please help me out?

Thx a lot on advance.

Hey, thx for your message.

The link on page one is this text: Advanced account management
The settings are:
Quote:
Filename : FeaturesAndBenefits
URL : lnktofeaturesbenefits1
Relative to : Document
When looking in the DreamWeaver properties window while clicking the link, it
shows the following path for the link :
FeaturesAndBenefits.htm#lnktofeaturesbenefits1

I double checked the path and it doesn't seem wrong to me. I also used the
'point-to-file' pointing directly to the named anchor as it is described in the
dreamweaver 'named anchor tutorial'.

I hope you can help me,
thx again,

Ruben.

Ruben:

I dunno. Try fixing the invalid code and see what happens -

Change this -

Advanced account management</A> </FONT>
</ul></td>

to this -

Advanced account management</A> </FONT>
</li></ul></td>

Nope, still no success.

Thx for your help though.

I've posted this problem at some other forums too, and many others
wonder what's causing this.

It's really strange. I guess it must be something with naming the anchor and
specifying the link. I'll keep on looking and let you know if I find something
new.

Thx,

Ruben.

IT WORKS !!!

Well, I used the link checker, browsed to the correct page of each link and
manually added the #.... for each named anchor and it worked.

The strange part is that the path is exactly the same as when I used the
point-to-file and selecting each of the anchors. This totally beats me, but it
works so I'm not going to complain.

Thx for your help everyone,

Ruben.
