Hi there:

I believe your trouble enlies in your site definitions.. Under the Remote info in your site definitions uncheck the checkin/check out check box..

I hope this helps you out

By default, it is unchecked, but I did verify that. That's what is so confusing. Anyone else?

Check your remote site and make sure there aren't any .lck files. Your
old version may have had checkin/out turned on, and the new version is
just seeing the remnants.

I've not had this problem. where are you putting to? Is your server on your local machine? Do you have the file open and unsaved?

Josh,
That's the problem. I tried to set up Contribute on a couple of my sites
in hopes to figure it out enough to use with clients, but I didn't figure out
enough to go along with the thought. Since I tried it first on my sites, those
are (or, "were") the problem. Thanks for the idea, I don't know if I would have
gone to the server to look there.
