You link to the pdf file as if you would any other link on your page.
Highlight either the button or the text and link to the pdf doc via the
property inspector.

This uses an image to click on:
<a href="nameofdoc.pdf"><img src="images/pdf_logo.gif" width="50"
height="63" border="0" </a>

This uses text as the link.
<a href="name.pdf" >Download a brief company flyer in pdf format</a>
