My client has hired a translator to translate a site that I've developed
already. The site is .html and .asp ... a couple of databases behind.

The translator wants all the text from me in word docs, no styles, scripts,
macros, nothing...straight text. I don't have any of the content in word docs.

What do I do?

is the code dinamic? does it reside on a database?

If not, I'll use the Opera browser and is great handling CSS. I will just
go to Opera's author mode which detaches your site from any css content,
then activate the 'Disable Tables' style and the rest would be copy paste
on OpenOffice.org and save it as a doc.

If yes, then I'll just copy paste from a query of the text, or within a
CVS output.

Copy and paste? But why can't he do that if the site is already live?

Some of it is in a database. I have exported tables from that database to
excel to word and given them to the translator. I haven't heard back yet what
she thinks of that.

I am using CSS. I will take a look at Opera now. Thanks, will let you know
what happens next!
