Did you define the DSN in CF Administration? Even though you defined it in
Win XP ODBC manager you still need to be sure it is defined in CFMX. Try
that and see if it helps.

I am first time developer...using Cold FusionMX with DreamweaverMX. In
following the Getting Started steps in Dreamweaver..I attempted to connect
to the sample database provided with Dreamweaver (global.mdb). I use XP
Pro
and set up IIS as instructed and tested...works..installed ColdFusionMX

invoked it through Modify Data Sources button on the dbase panel in
Dreamweaver. As instructed I named a new data source and pointed it to
global.mdb. I submit and am told I need Java Virtual Machine. I installed

and receive an error "java.sql.SQLException--cause is that my "datasource

not named in jrun-resources.xml".
Ok so Im lost and the Dreamweaver tutorial mentions nothing about
java....I
amy not know what I am doing but I can follow instructions. Any help?
