I'm also having this problem. Turning down the tracing image's opacity turns it
yellow - check out this screenshot:

That's supposed to be a dark greenish gray tracing image. Yes, I'm aware that
tracing image is a design view only thing (since people seem to explain that a
lot, lol). Anyway, what's wrong with the opacity thing then?
