or, is there anyway of inserting tables into a layer, and positioning the layer in the approximated position of the current page layout table, then inserting additional layers anchored to the centred page layer (if that's at all possible to follow!!!!)

again thank you for your help
Pete

Pete,

If I could take a look at the page you're working on, may be able to provide
a bit of feedback to help you achieve the desired results. You may be able
to place a transparent shim gif in the table cell where you now have your
DIVs and use SnapLayers to position the layers relative to the shim. Can't
give specific help though without seeing your page. Please provide a URL.

I have the same sort of problem where the layers "jump" when the page is
first opened. URL

http://diademinc.com/rocabella/properties.htm

Still trying to finish the design. This is my first time using the
scrollers and layer snap.

Thanks,
arlie

OT: Sorry to see that projectseven.com is still off-line.

You can make your layers (positioned DIVs) hidden by default and use
AutoLayers to make them visible onLoad. AutoLayers is available from the
Macromedia website http://macromedia.com/exchange > Dreamweaver >
(Categories) DHTML/Layers. If you then click onto the word "Name" in the
column headers, the list will sort alphabetically and AutoLayers is easier
to locate.

further to my previous reply, is there any way of getting rid of the default overflow scroller, and replacing with a bit of code and a graphic to do the same thing???

Cheers
Pete

One other question Karen,

Do you think Contribute will work with multiple layers, specifically
http://diademinc.com/rocabella/propertydetail.htm where we have multiple
layers and scrollers?

thanks,
arlie
