it is possible that
what you are aiming to do takes that into consideration. For example...

<h1>Floating Wild Rivers:</h1><h2> The Mighty Colorado</h2>

can be semantically correct, in the sense that you could have multiple
blocks of content and h1 defines the main topic while h2 is the
secondary, diverging portion.

Donna -- this is the use I intended. Call me lazy, but I didn't see the point
of creating new styles when I already had two that were exactly what I needed
and would function the way I needed them to. It certainly doesn't hurt that
the two side-by-side are also visually appealing. I just couldn't figure out
how to get them on the same line.

Thank you for the help, Donna. Thanks to everyone else who weighed in. As
always, I learned quite a few things from your comments.

You are quite welcome! Post the url and remind us to look at it when
you're done... I'd love to see the results.

Donna --

As requested, here's the URL to the page you helped me with:
http://www.bloomgroup.com/totl/q4_05/q4_05.htm I still need to tweek the h2 so
it lines up underneath itself when it wraps (which I'm having a real problem
doing), but this is exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks again,
John
