Look at the "Frames are your friends" thread to learn why those anti-frame
webpages are, pardon my french, a load or horse manure.

Bad french and bad advice seem to go together.

If you can read and understand everything on Joe's links, then you can be
allowed to use frames. If you can't then you will be punished for using
them! 8)

Agreed

And for those people who think framed sites can't do well on search engines,
some of my best performing sites are framed. You just need to do a bit of
research

Ultimately, a web page is a web page, irrespective of whether or not it's in
a frame.

Certainly true. Nobody here has said that frames cannot do well on search
engines. In fact frames offer a unique opportunity to optimize your site
for SE ranking.

But - the truth of the matter is this: those who ask why frames are bad have
no business using them. If they do not understand enough about frames to
understand why they are limiting in most situations, then they will not be
able to 'undig' the enormous hole into which they are about to plummet.
