I am having the exact same problem. I am running DW MX 2004 on (winXP) and
have 2 monitors. I keep the files window open (full screen) on the right side
monitor. Every time I close a page, the files window goes from full screen to
a smaller window. It does stay on the same monitor, but it's annoying to always
have to open it up again and again.

I, too, am experiencing this problem, which seems to have been introduced with
the 7.0.1 upgrade. I'm running DW MX 2004 7.0.1 on Windows 2000 NT 5, with a
dual-monitor set up. I keep my files window open (partial screen) on my
left-side monitor, and my working files, properties and layers windows on the
right.

In my particular case, the files window drops its dual, local/remote layout
when I close my last open file, then when I select to see the local/remote view
again, the files window jumps to my right monitor and I have to drag it back to
the left. This is more than an annoyance, its a productivity damper too!

Interesting that two posts relating to this issue are a couple of years old. I
never had this problem in 6.1.

I'm using DWMX 2004 w/Win XP Pro and two monitors... and just like the others,
the Files window -- which I prefer to keep only so that local and remote files
are displayed on a second monitor -- collapses to the local view and jumps to
the center of my other monitor unless I have a page open to work on.

This is a bad, bad thing that makes me sigh loudly and mutter not-very-nice
things about Macromedia.

Since there's no solution posted, I suspect I'm outta luck. But figured I'd
bring it up again, in case somebody somewhere fixed it somehow.

M.
