I swear to you, sometimes I am editing INSIDE the editable region of page that's a child of template (DW MX). I spend 15 minutes writing code and then as soon as I try to save I get this error: code locked by template or translator .... and then it just wipes off all the changes I made. Why is that??? I know I am inside the editable region. I am not dreaming it. When I go inside Homesite and do the same change and then open it up in DW, it is fine. It's just that DW SOMETIMES won't let me edit inside the editable region. Please give me some tips. crispy |

it's to do with the "Code outside of template is locked" feature which doesnt seem to work properly anyway. set to true or false it still throws problems for me (PC/MX 6) IMO it would be better to have some code locking mechanism for DW templates that was part of the app, rather than embedded in the document code. i've resorted to editing the pages in notepad i have no perfect answer, but you're not alone! all the best jason "Crispy" <polaatx (AT) REMOVE (DOT) yahoo.com> wrote in message news:beimes$pm$2 (AT) forums (DOT) macromedia.com...
