Re: DW MX 2004 crashes when recreating site cache

For a couple of days, DW has been crashing when it tried to recreate the
site cache for one of my sites.

first try-
Go to dw menu-->Sites-->Edit Sites
Select that site def, and press Duplicate.
Does dw build the cache file now?

If not-
detour: Is this site folder truly a LOCAL folder, or is it on a network
drive?

otherwise:
I'd guess there's a file in the local site folder that's corrupt- and is
breaking the cache
file when dw encounters it.

first suggestion- look for .swf or .fla files. Also possibly .psd or .png
files.

May need to resort to old fashioned brute force troubleshooting-
make a new folder, outside of this site def.
Move half the site files into the new folder.
Try to recreate the site cache.
-If still broke, move half again to new folder.
-If site cache gets created, move half the moved files back.
Repeat till you isolate the troublesome file.
