Of course. You can use the FREE methods taught at PVII to create menus that
do just that.

Check this menu -

While it is missing an image, and I'm too lazy to upload it, and while I
don't consider this a particularly great menu, it demonstrates the concept
nicely. Of course you would have to look at the code....

I am trying to implement a site with horizontal CSS Layered dropdown
menus,
but I want the primary menu selection to remain shaded, while the cursor
is
over any of the sub menu items, for that tab. Some of the main menu tabs
are
only 60px wide, while the sub menu items may be 100px wide or more, so
there
is the possibility of confusion, if the primary tab does not remain
shaded.
I checked out PVII and some other commercial extensions, but I don't want
to
pay $100+, if there is an easy way to achieve the same thing, with any of
the several other ways to implement a CSS dropdown menu. Incidentally, the
PVII web site does vertically, exactly what I want to do horizontally
(although I don't care for the expanding submenus).

Any ideas?
