Create a new page. Save it. How long does it take.

How big are the existing pages (bytes)?

Hi,
I am working on a site with pages filled with scripts, behaviours etc. on
my
last computer DW was taking a long time to save files, go from data view
to
code view etc and I always blamed it on the processor and memory left on
the
PC, however I am now on a brand new machine with a very fast processor and
lots
of free space but the problem is still the same, it may take 2 to 3
minutes to
save one file.
All other programs are responding very fast even when DW is struggling so
i
starting to wonder if this isn't specific to DW,
Any ideas???
Thanking you,
Olivier

This is not unusually large. Are you saving to your local hard drive or to
a remote shared drive?

That would certainly affect how long DW takes to open, but I doubt it would
affect how long it takes to save....

Hi,
I am saving on my own C: drive and view the pages on IIS on my own PC.
I use 2 differerent SSI on the page, could the problem be coming from them.
I can't think the pages are too large as they open perfectly well into the
browser when testing.

thanking you,

Saving a file has nothing to do with IIS.

Can you please answer my earlier questions?

Create a new page. Save it. How long does it take.

How big are the existing pages (bytes) that take a long time to save?
