I am working on a site with pages filled with scripts, behaviours etc. on

last computer DW was taking a long time to save files, go from data view
to
code view etc and I always blamed it on the processor and memory left on

PC, however I am now on a brand new machine with a very fast processor and

of free space but the problem is still the same, it may take 2 to 3
minutes to
save one file.
All other programs are responding very fast even when DW is struggling so

starting to wonder if this isn't specific to DW,
Any ideas???

it is over 16000 bytes, page for an intranet, I have several pages doing that, no problem son any other sites or programmes

This is not unusually large. Are you saving to your local hard drive or to
a remote shared drive?

how many 3rd party extentions do you have loaded in dreamweaver?....

That would certainly affect how long DW takes to open, but I doubt it would
affect how long it takes to save....

I am saving on my own C: drive and view the pages on IIS on my own PC.
I use 2 differerent SSI on the page, could the problem be coming from them.
I can't think the pages are too large as they open perfectly well into the
browser when testing.

Saving a file has nothing to do with IIS.
