Does Dreamweaver generate the error when opening the page, or does the error occur in the browser when you navigate to the site? What is the error? |

The site works, but I cannot effect any changes. When make changes to linked pages and to the templates adding pages 2004MX no longer updates the index. When I try to up the entire site it says the there was an error in opening the index.htm thus no changes were made. That's why I wanted to know if Ican reindex it. Thanks George |

Hi: Good idea. I tried that, using bith the remote servers version as well as the local version. I can open bothe copies, but they won't update as they normally should when changes are made to either a sub page or the main template. When i try to update just the pages associated it does no update any, and when i select update entire site it can't open the index.htm due to an opening error. |

Question, by Putting the entire site does the overwrith the current remote site with the new PUT? Or should I delet the old remote site 1st before putting the clean version? |

How can I tell if the Template is corrupt? If it is the Main template, it could effect all the subpage templates as well? I am waiting on the old site CD copy. Will try using the index.HTM files from that. If that does not work I'll PUT the entire old site up and rebuild any change made since then. Important lesson learned. back up Dummy! Thanks for your assistance., George |
