You are clearly an angel.

This illustrates the perils of using canned code from other programs, like
from Menu Writer, Sculptor and my newsletter program. Now that I know what it
needs to look like, I'm starting over. I can't thank you enough.

Let me ask you about the Library -- no java or CSS, huh? So best bet for the
nav would be on a template? ttt

Library item is fine, but any required javascript (not java) and CSS would
be taken from the parent page's existing links (i.e., the page into which
you insert the Library item - meaning that those links (or embedded CSS) and
that javascript would have to already be there in the parent page before you
insert the Library item).

Alternatively, you could use a server-side include (which is how I do it -
haven't used a Library item in years).

You could use a DW Template. I prefer to use Server-Side Includes.

Either way, CSS and links to external JavaScript files (not the same as Java
BTW), are most often contained between the <head> and </head> tags of the
parent document. So you do not need to duplicate those references in your
include or library item files. Make sense?
