If your site is based on a template, change the link in a template and update the pages that use the template. You don't say what version of DW you're using, or what OS you're running. But, if you are running Windows and have an installation disk, there should be a copy of HomeSite on it (at least a trial version). HomeSite has an "extended replace" function that will replace a text strings (can be multiple lines) in the current document, all open documents, a given project, or in a directory (optionally including the subdirectories). I'm still learning Dreamweaver, so can't advise how to do this in DW without using templates. In article <bger94$j7h$1 (AT) forums (DOT) macromedia.com>, "phototaker" webforumsuser (AT) macromedia (DOT) com says... I am trying to change a link site wide without having to go to every page and I have tried over and over and over to get this feature to work. I am changing a link not on my server to another document that is not on my server,http://, to another one not on my server, if that makes a difference. I have tried selecting all the pages and also selecting no the pages in my local site directory before I bring up the change link window and neither seem to make any difference. Please advise if there is a solution. Thanks Richard |
