reinstalling might not solve the problem since is a file error and not a
software error. I dont think you need to reinstall a program because of a
curropted file.

Have you tried doing the same procedure with a new simple file. Did it
crash also?

I can't even open Dreamweaver or Fireworks. I called Tech Support and they
suggested creating a new user account under Windows and then logging on to see
if it works. It did, but then all of my files and settings are not there.

IHe then suggested dleting the settings under the Owner account in
application data for both programs. When it restarted it rebuilt the data but
still ended up crashing saying "can't write to memory...)
