Editor Preference for .png to the new fireworks

are you pointing the editor for jpg and gif to the new fireworks because
that should be the image type you are working with in DW.

OK Murray (or others) .. here's a real boondoggle... So I upgraded to MX
2004 Suite and then uninstalled all of the older MX apps. Now, when I'm
in
DW MX 2004 and I click on a portion of an image to edit it in Fireworks
2004, I get an error message saying that it can't find the older fireworks
application.

I tried pointing the Editor Preference for .png to the new fireworks, but
that didn't help.. other suggestions? ..and why am I having to do this?
