| not quite the answer i was looking for, but expected none the less by the ever so un-helpfull morons of this group. I have heard it can be done with CSS, does anyone have a link that could help me. plz, dont bother to reply with (I advise against frames) or something similar. As I stated I know people dont agree with the use of them, but I want to learn to use them. Any help gratefully appreciated (telling me not to use frames isn't considered help) Don't waste your time with puerile insults. I make money out of this activity, and I understand what I'm talking about when I suggest that you don't use frames. There is no question for which they are the answer. The people who invented frames no longer use them. Why? Do some research. try these links http://www.useit.com/alertbox/9612.html http://www.useit.com/alertbox/styles_vs_frames.html http://www.theoryxdesign.com/articles/article.php?id=2 Here's a well-balanced well-argued article from someone who is not totally against frames http://www.apptools.com/rants/framesevil.php There's no law against using frames. You go ahead and use them. Amateurs use them a lot. I thought you might want some help from professionals. Paul Taylor http://www.technocurve.co.uk |
