That is what I am trying to figure out. I am creating a search project with an Access database (many reasons but can't use MySQL). What I am trying to find out is the best way to access the database which is housed on an Apache server. I am using Dreamweaver MX to create this project. Now, I have read that PHP is the best to use with Apache WHEN using MySQL. This is where I am stuck. I know I can get some kind of software to use ASP or JSP (if you know where and intructions, that would be great!!).

Anyways, thanks for the reply.

Brandon

The native php server model in Dreamweaver mx only works with MySQL as the
database.

you can check into using the Phakt server model- it allows using PHP in
dremaweaver with a larger variety of databases.

Have you already locked up hosting for this project?
If yes- What kind of hosting (win/*nix), and what kind of scripting and
database does that Specific host allow for your site???
