Random Image using HTML?

Hi,

I would like to have a group of 4 or 5 images which can be randomly picked to
occupy a space on my site. I have tried to use some code that someone has said
in a past thread but that didn't work, although I'm not excellent at the
language, I copied the instructions exactly to no such luck.
Any ideas, help or solutions would be greatly appriciated.
