Default quick question about images.... - 04-24-2004 , 12:09 PM

Hi! I was wondering what is the difference (if any) of placing an image in a
layout cell as opposed to using CSS to place an image in the background. Is
one of these files smaller?

I have a situation where if you click on a word i would like an image to pop
up and i'd like to make the files the best quality but fastest to load, and i'm
owndering if there is any advantage to setting them as background images over
straight up photo files.

Thanks!

jen

I don't think it matters, the view loads the same file either way.

Download time will be the same, whichever way you chose. But placing an
image as background when it actually belongs to the foreground will
usually create other issues since it commonly need to align with other
foreground stuff, but will fail to do so.

Put it as foreground if it's supposed to be there.
