Default quick and easy form for email? - 11-02-2004 , 11:26 PM

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for your help. Here is the situation, I have a
client who is a singer. She would like to have a link for her web page users
to be able to click on, which would then let them enter their email address, so
they can receive fan based email from her. Essentially a 'click here to sign
up for Kim Erin fan mail' type thing. How would this work? Would the form
simply be forwarded to her email address so she can add them into a special
group in her address book? How do these things work? I think that creating a
database would be overkill, not to mention that she is not very computer savy,
so she would need to be able to figure out how to use that database if that was
the route to take. (and i have no experience with server side databases) The
server is using the Zope language. Suggestions please? Thanks, Ernie

She should look into http://ezezine.com (or you can do it for her).
Sending fewer than 1000 messages per month per list is free. You can
add a "Subscribe" form to her site; they help you generate the code.

The list of subscribers is maintained on their site. The admin tools
are pretty self-explanatory. Neither of you needs any database or
server-side programming knowledge.

I recommend this service regularly to non-profits and community
groups. There's some good info on the site about ezines/newsletters
too.
