Interesting, it seems that Safari has the same "bug" as IE5 (Win & Mac) when it comes to position nested SPANs elements. Instead of being AP in relation to the parent element (for which a position declaration exists) it "follows" the DIV in which it is contained. I will apply the same workarounds I used for IE5 as soon as I find a CSS branching technique for Safari.
