Default Pulling hair out on this one! - 11-17-2004 , 10:35 PM

I have several sites defined within DWMX 2004. I also use a menu
program from Xtreeme called DHTML Menu Studio. I have created several
different menus for my sites using this program.

Lately I have 1 site that I enter my information into the <head> section
for the Javascript code (for the menu), and all seems to be ok. I then
insert my code for the menu in the <body> section, within the split
screen, I'm in the code section. As soon as the code is entered, and I
click in the design section, I get a DWMX crash, and a 'memory could not
be read' error message, and DWMX shuts down.

If by some miracle I can get both parts of the menu entered on the page
I'm working on without the system crashing, and manage to save the page,
I can't then reopen the page with both of those pieces of code on the
page withwout DWMX crashing with the same error message.

I've tried deleting the site from within DWMX and recreating it. I've
tried deleting the menu and recreating it. I've tried uninstalling DWMX
and reinstalling it.

I don't know what to do here!!! My other webs work fine with the menu
program, I can add new menu's to pages without any problem.

What could it be?????

Steve

After you the code is entered, copy the page and then paste it into
another app (e.g. Notepad) so you can save it. Then put the page
somewhere and post a link so we can take a look at the page.

Thanks,
Randy

I can open that page in DW MX 2004 7.0.1 on WinXP SP2 with no problem. I
don't have any of the images, so maybe it's a corrupted image?

Randy

Randy,

I also have XP Pro SP2, and it just doesn't open. Any ideas on what
image would be the problem one? I don't think its one of the static
pictures on the page, just because I can open up the page without the
menu items on it just fine.

Maybe using a different menu would be the trick.....something with
different menu item images.....?

Open a page and try and paste some text in design view, does DW crash then?

I have no problems with that page, either, but the problems occur when
additional code is pasted into the page, and we don't know what that code
is.

Got it resolved. Using a different set of options on the menu program
worked. All is good again!

Thanks all!!
