problems with slices and Table

:disgust;Hello I have created a header and navigation system in a graphics
program and sliced it. I made a table in Dreamweaver so that the slices would
stay together. The table has one large row (cell) for the header and 6 other
cells for slices. I left one cell empty for content but when I type something,
it breaks apart the slices. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have asked a
Web Design instructor who is familiar with Dreamweaver and she has no clue. Any
help is greatly appreciated.

Can you provide a link as an example of the issue you're having? That would
be a big help.

I haven't uploaded anything yet and I dont know of any site that has anything
that has anything that looks like this but when I try to put anything in my
content cell (right hand side) it makes the cells that contain the navigation
slices larger, surrounding the slice with white space. This poses a problem
because my header and my navigation system (lefthand side) are connected as one
large image and they have a background color of green. Thanx

Yes, don't 'design' your site in a graphics program and use slices.

Instead, design in DW...make your basic layout using tables or CSS. THEN go
back and start adding images as necessary. You will have a lot less
headaches if you take this approach.

Then you need to find a school that hires instructors that DO have a clue.
