Problems reading font in tool bars

I just loaded Dreamweaver MX and Fireworks 4 on my new laptop and for some
reason the tool bar font is very hard to read. Is there a way to change the
font? I tried changing the appearence on the desktop to see if that made any
difference, and it did not. I also tried changing the resolution, but that
also did nothing.

I am including a bmp from one of the tools to show the issue.
